I know I was supposed to post more often but in my defence I must say that having to show the island around to 5 tourists (translations and explanations included) while trying to recognize streets and buildings in my hometown was pretty tiring. That and drinking and dancing for nights in a row...
This is where the Hinton factory used to be, the old sugar cane engine and chimney are still there.
The "estrelĂcia" flower originally came from Africa and is now one of Madeira's best symbols.
This orquid is my personal favorite flower, we call it "little shoe".
And no, this plant is not carnivore.
